The nature of today’s globalized economy means that it is not immediately apparent how specific products on our shelves may link to slavery as products typically pass through a long chain of producers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

Anti-Slavery International’s Slavery and What We Buy campaign shows that slavery can occur at different stages, from the production of raw materials such as cocoa or cotton, to the manufacture of goods such as garments, toys or fireworks.
